As in any industry, trade practices have developed among those that are involved in the design, purchase/ supply, fabrication, and erection of structural steel.
We upholds and abides by the highest and international recognized engineering parameters and we have strict quality checks and controls policy on par with global standards, that helps us consistently provide excellent products and services to our clients.
To make a more effective communication, we take below practices as our default practices.
(Wherever there is a conflict between the order or contract documents and these practices, however, the order or contract documents shall prevail. )
In China, dimensions, weights, and other measures are given in the International System of Units (SI Units / Metric System). If your values stated in U.S. customary units, we usually take below metric conversion factors for common steel design units:
Our company can communicate in internationally recognized glossary. E.g.:
Glossary for metal buildings: https://www.mbma.com/Learn_Glossary.html
Glossary for metal buildings Structure: https://www.mbma.com/Structure.html
Glossary for engineering and building works: FIDIC Terms https://www.fidicterms.org/
Chinese standards (GB standards) or International Standardization Organization standards (ISO standards). Many GB standards are equivalent or modified to ISO standards, so many of them can be equivalent to American standards, British standards and other national standards. We can provide specific comparisons to demonstrate equivalence or superiority.
It is published by the Metal Building Manufacturers Association, provides an overview of standard practices relating to the design, manufacture, sale and erection of metal building Systems and and the responsibilities of the parties involved in each step of the process, intended to serve as a general checklist to assist the parties in preparing specific order or contract documents governing the transaction in question.
This Manual is used for all the loading conditions, fabrication tolerances and is considered as a guideline for pre-engineered buildings.
ANSI/AISC Standards
FIDIC is the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, is the global representative body for national associations of consulting engineers and represents over one million engineering professionals and 40,000 firms in about 100 countries worldwide.
The Green Book is FIDIC’s recommended form of contract for use on engineering and building works of relatively small capital value or where the construction time is short. We did not use this contract, but we can take it as a reference.
